Role overview
  • The role involves contacting potential or existing clients to understand the nature of their interest/ enquiry and to pass on their enquiry to the relevant team/ person within the company to progress that interest/ enquiry and/or to arrange an appointment with one of our advisers/ relationship managers.

Key responsibilities
  • Contact potential or existing clients to ascertain the nature of their interest/ enquiry in line with relevant guide scripts

  • Make appointments with such leads with the most relevant adviser/ relationship manager/ team in order to progress that lead

  • Be able to articulate all propositions in a compelling manner and on an ongoing basis so as to enable all relevant leads to be passed to the relevant adviser/ relationship manager to progress that lead’s interest/ enquiry

  • Maintain all lead contact activity in the CRM including adding lead details to the CRM, accessing and updating advisers/ relationship managers diaries, full contact details of activity with the lead

  • Maintain all lead contact information in line with GDPR requirements

  • Maintain accurate and complete activity records on a real time basis

  • Be responsible for completing all administration regarding lead handling and appointment making

  • Work closely with FES Practice Director to assist in lead conversion and feedback

  • Work closely with FES Client Service Team to coordinate client appointments and lead feedback and to maintain up to date knowledge on team news, FES practice developments etc

  • Produce regular activity MI and reports as required

  • Build strong and trusted relationships with colleagues including  advisers, relationship managers, client service team, Marketing and Business Development teams

  • Manage workloads and make proposals for further resources as activity requires

  • Manage arrangements and effect good handovers with colleagues for periods of planned absence

  • Achieve personal objectives in line with corporate objectives

  • Identify opportunities for process/ system enhancement to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Act in a professional and compliant manner at all times

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
  • Proven, successful experience of telemarketing, telesales or similar telephone based appointment making role

  • Proven track record of successfully meeting target driven KPIs

  • Good experience of relevant systems including telephony and CRM

  • Preferable to have good knowledge of financial advice, wealth management services

  • Good knowledge of regulatory environment governing this work including but not limited to FCA, Data Protection, GDPR, telephone and mailing preferences, advice and guidance etc.

  • Excellent telephone skills and manner

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong relationship building, influencing, negotiation skills

  • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection and overcome objections

  • High levels of integrity and professionalism

  • Highly motivated self-starter

  • Strong team player

  • Commercial thinker with strong business acumen

  • Comfortable working with changing priorities and peak flow activity

  • Extremely well organised with excellent administrative skills

  • Strong work ethic ensuring deadlines and KPIs are met
